California road trip

We spent a good long seven days in southern California last week and it always feels like it was all a dream when you are suddenly snapped back into reality after you get back home. And apparently everyone goes to LA for work these days, but we were just there for a little rest, relaxation and road tripping!

This was literally one of my first views right after driving away from LAX Enterprise. Thank goodness for a GPS. We were already driving down Santa Monica Boulevard before I knew it.

It was a week-long adventure that was so fun to experience. So much to take in, so little time!

 After dinner goodies from the restaurant, Craft - saved it for breakfast the next morning.

We jetted out the next morning, heading to Coronado Island.

We drove down the Pacific Coast Hwy to make it a scenic drive.

It turned into a rainy afternoon the first day but there was this amazing rainbow hovering over the hotel right as the rain was clearing!

Off to another destination...Laguna. But first. Pit stop to La Jolla to Torrey Pines.

Then we traveled on to our destination for the next two nights.

We went into downtown Laguna for lunch.

Look, it's Laguna Beach High School. Yes, I own the Laguna Beach season one and two box sets and am still a Lauren Conrad fan!

Back at the Ritz Carlton, we had cocktails overlooking the sunset before our anniversary dinner.

 

After our stay in Laguna, we were back in the car for one more night in LA to complete our trip.
